AVAG-Pumps - A success story since 1984

1984	Business start-up in Paderborn
1994	Establishment of the French branch AVAG-Pompes SARL
1995	Relocation of the company headquarters to Bad Wünnenberg with the construction of new office buildings and warehouses
1996	Establishment of a production facility in Hungary
1997	Expansion of sales in Hungary
2000	Construction of a hydroelectric power plant for energy generation at the Bad Wünnenberg site
2006	Site expansion in the neighboring town of Fürstenberg with the construction of several new warehouses
2007	Expansion of storage space at the Fürstenberg site by the construction of an additional warehouse
2014	Implementation of a future-oriented ERP system across all locations
2021	Modernisation of lighting systems through energy-saving LED technology
2024	Introduction of the AVAG webshop in Germany and France
2024	Renewal of a large part of the vehicle fleet with modern, fuel-efficient vehicles

Sustainability

Sustainability is not just a buzzword for cost savings for us. From the very beginning, it has been a guiding principle for us to consciously and mindfully use resources in our daily work.

Clean and efficient energy:

For over 25 years, we have been harnessing the clean power of water for our electricity supply and operating an Ossberger cross-flow turbine. Hydropower: close to nature and sustainable.

Building:

We are also working on continuously improving our energy efficiency. Our warehouse and office lighting has been converted to energy-saving LED technology. Our heating systems are based on renewable energy sources.

Packaging:

Sustainability is more than just a goal for us. Our packaging is given a second life through consistent reuse. In this way, we not only reduce waste but also conserve resources and make an active contribution to environmental protection.
